Five–Spice Powder

According to Wikipedia, "While there are many variants, a common mix is ... [bulleted list:] star anise, cloves, Chinese cinnamon, Sichuan pepper, fennel seeds. Other recipes may contain anise seed, ginger root, nutmeg, turmeric, Amomum villosum pods, Amomum cardamomum pods, licorice, Mandarin orange peel or galangal".

It may just be a coincidence that the five ingredients given in this question (and its answer) are the same five that are listed on Wikipedia as "a common mix". But if it's not a coincidence, those four simple words, "there are many variants", should have been enough to convince anyone that this is not suitable for use as a quiz question.
